The purpose of this position is to serve on the FELPS management team and provide support to the General Manager. This is accomplished by overseeing several daily operations divisions; researching methods to improve workplace efficiency & productivity; supervising managers, supervisory and labor staff; resolving conflict and applying discipline when needed; managing budgets; and recommending policy change. Other duties include providing community support and goodwill; serving on various industry committees and boards coordinating with city and county government entities. Additional other duties may be assigned, based on organizational need.
This position is responsible for the success of the: electrical system operations, system design, information technology systems, geographic information system, metering services and project management. Further duties include acting as the Emergency Operations Plans Incident Commander; participating in annual budget development; managing all facets of transmission access; and other projects as needed. Supplementary duties include the annual review with recommendations of the Emergency Operations Plan, Distributed Generation Policy, Technology Policy and on-going maintenance for the Construction Standards.
